NGA : 'STREETWISE' CONTEMPORARY PRINT CULTURE
STREETWISE : CONTEMPORARY PRINT CULTURE AT THE NGA (2014-15)
☼ ☼ ☼
Streetwise: contemporary print culture - an exhibition which surveyed the last 15 years
of Australian printmaking, featuring 40+ of Australia’s contemporary printmakers from across the
country shown at the National Gallery of Australia.
The work featured here is Julie's 'Waratah Degrade' print as wallpaper, originally made while studying
Masters in textiles at The Glasgow School of Art (2012-13) - the print was inspired by an Australian
take on William Morris's 'Chrysanthemum' print.
